The main box with foam ribs hugging all drives snuggly. each drive individually wrapped in anti static.2. Stats: All my 5 drives in good order, as far as S.M.A.R.T. is concerned. between 18 and 19 power on hours each. 3. Performance: Average 260 MB/s per drive. 4. Sound: Barely noticeable on a desk with no enclosure. Inside my NAS, whisper quiet. Overall happy with this purchase.

I was skeptical about buying a refurbished drive but things are going well so far. Before implementing them into a server I am currently running I checked out the drives S.M.A.R.T values and both drives reported 0's across the board, now this could be to the refurbishment process so I will post a later update on the drives in about 6 months. +1 to 1 year WAR.

Upon powering the drive up I saw it had some bad sectors. I started a return, and the Server Part Deals people were very friendly and issued a refund promptly. While the specific drive I ordered had issues, I would still buy from the seller again in the future. Thanks.

Server Part Deals staff were very helpful when communicating with them, but as the item was shipped via eBay international shipping, eBay had to handle the returns. That was a kafkaesque experience. Unfortunately, one of the drives was DOA. The seller replied to my DOA questions very quickly, but the drive was dead. At this point, through no fault of the seller, I had to go through the eIS process of ordering a new drive and returning the old one to eBay’s warehouse. Not a big deal, but as I was ordering a new drive, I was hit with $46 duty, which would’t have happened for a replacement.
