The rear brake hose was actually the perfect size for my Large Santa Cruz Nomad 3, so no need to cut. The rear brake did need a bleed.

Otherwise, you need to purchase needle and olive, bleeding kit and installation tool for internal routing. Shimano kits usually arrive not connected to the lever with available hardware when in New condition. Hence, why i gave it 3 stars. So pick ease of installation vs value in deciding whether you want it.
