I read on forum sites that specialize in Op Amps, that users say this Op Amp should sound a certain way. I would agree with what they said. The sound is warm, the bass is soft but with great reverberation, sweet midrange with nice timbre, delicate but precise and sparkling highs. This chip is transparent in regards of soundstage, and is nor aggressive neither laid back or dark. Very nice sounding. Mixes well with my AD8597ARZ in Creative X7
