    The Canon PowerShot S95 10.0 MP digital camera is aptly named because of its many powerful strengths and functions. It proves that great things come in small packages, measuring only 3.9 inches by 2.3 inches by 1.7 inches. The camera weighs just under 7 ounces including the battery. The portable concept makes the S95 an everyday compact camera that can easily fit into a pocket or bag. The ultra-slim design of the Canon is available in matte black. It is manufactured using a durable metal with added texture on the front panel for extra gripping power. The Canon PowerShot is loaded with features that help you take great photos anytime and anywhere. The Canon S95 comes equipped with a 6.0-22.5mm f/2.0-4.9 lens. The S95 lenses have a 4x digital zoom ratio. The image sensor and resolution yields megapixels from a 1/1.7-inch CCD sensor with a primary color filter. The macro setting has a generous capture area of 2.5 by 1.9 inches for that close-up shot. The zoom and shutter options are located on top of the S95 for easy access. The 3.8x wide-angle lens offers optical image stabilization for pictures with high image quality. You can get image stabilization even in low light or action shots. Canon uses a built-in pop-up flash that corresponds with the auto or slow sync mode. The compact S95 cameras also support a 1/1600 second shutter speed when using AiAF TTL auto mode. It can go as low as 15 seconds if adjusted manually. The exposure compensation or brightness adjustment is done when shooting in manual mode. Capturing the true colors on a photo requires the right balance of light using the white balance setting. The white balance modes include daylight, cloudy, tungsten, auto, fluorescent H, fluorescent, custom, underwater, and flash.Video recordings on the S95 are captured in 720p high definition with stereo sound. The files are written in a MOV format. They can then be uploaded to many multimedia sites including YouTube and Facebook. There are two microphones that offer exclusive wrap-around sound. The large 3-inch LCD display monitor with 461,000 screen dots has a 460k resolution and can be used for viewing pictures or videos. ISO options on the S95 digital cameras range from 80 to 3200 depending on the lighting conditions. Canon incorporated HDR capabilities, also known as high dynamic range imaging, on these cameras. This feature produces photos that recreate the actual visual experience. The PowerShot 10.0 MP operates off a Canon NB-6L Li-ion type rechargeable battery. It is rated at 200 shots when fully charged. A Speed Class 4 or faster memory card is recommended for optimal video recording results. The PowerShot camera takes MMC, SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards. For maximum storage, always use at least a 4GB but preferably an 8GB or larger. Canon developed this camera to be portable yet have all the functions of a larger unit.
