Although some see botanical medicine as a new niche for pharmacy, the opponents of the sale of herbs in pharmacies suggest that most pharmacists have little or no knowledge of botanical medicine.The Botanical Pharmacy addresses this problem by providing a comprehensive course review of 47 common herbs, with sections for each herb on active constituents, therapeutic uses, relevant pharmacology, adverse effects, contraindications, drug interaction, dosage regimens, extensive references to relevant medical literature, and anecdotal reports.
