The strong perfume/soap smell was not disclosed in the description and multiple dryer sheets were wrapped into it to try and mask it. The red string that cinches the dustbag closed was cut & untied and unusable to cinch the bag closed. Since the seller has stated that they do not accept returns, I guess I am stuck with this mess!
