And yet, the seller was very attentive, sending details about the item's progress even without being prompted. I was immensely grateful that the seller cares as much as he does, even for a fairly inexpensive item like this. It did eventually arrive and was in good shape. Exactly as described. But with confidence. This is one of eBay's most conscientious sellers.

An issue with an unexpected USPS delay for a batch of items shipped the same day (not in the control of the seller) was communicated clearly and multiple updates were given to all buyers, even giving an option for a refund if requested.
