Synopsis
Illustrated throughout with colour and black-&-white photographs and artworks, Near-Death Experiences examines in detail a wide range of case studies, including children and adults, sceptics and deeply religious people, as well as those who were expecting death and others caught in sudden accidents., Is death really the end? Find out what science, and the firsthand experiences of those who nearly died, tell us about what might lie beyond. Do we each have a soul or spiritual essence that will journey on once the body has turned to dust? Will death appear as oblivion or a nightmare? In recent decades--thanks to sophisticated resuscitation techniques--more people have returned from temporary death to reveal what they saw and felt. Doctors have noted that these descriptions of near-death experiences (NDE) were remarkably consistent, even though the people had very little in common. All spoke of a sense of peace, of travelling through a tunnel towards light, of seeing cities of light, and hearing celestial music. Some even overheard conversations that wouldn't normally have been possible. Near-Death Experiences examines in detail a wide range of NDE case studies, encompassing children and adults, skeptics and strong believers, those who expected to die and some caught in sudden accidents. This thoughtful analysis offers a glimmering of what may lie in store for us., Is death really the end? - n***h (803)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaI purchased this book (dated 1961) due to its alleged ties with the movie "Jaws". Possibly used as a reference for Quint's speech. I found the info on a website called thedailyjaws.com. It pertains to the wrong date (in the movie) of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. There is a picture of the book like the one I purchased here. The wrong date is actually in this book. Page 71. Anyway, great packaging for shipping! Great value! Affordable shipping! Fantastic seller! Highly recommended!Shark Unpredictable Killer of the Sea Thomas Helm 1961 First Edition Hardcover (#116476408523)

Very happy that it was not damaged and can be added to my collection, looks just as pictured & a great find so thank you!
