Synopsis
This book presents a synthesis of the modern approaches to the study of ontogeny and the interpretation of the fossil evidence for human origins. Recent years have seen significant developments in the understanding of the regulation of embryonic pattern formation and skeletal adaptation, and in techniques for the visualizations and analysis of ontogenetic transformations, offering the prospect of understanding the mechanisms underpinning phylogenetic transformation in the skeleton. Advances in developmental biology, molecular genetics, biomechanics, microscopy, imaging and morphometrics are brought to bear on the subject., This book presents a synthesis of the modern approaches to the study of ontogeny and the interpretation of the fossil evidence for human origins. Reviews important hot subject areas Juxtaposes contributions by developmental biologists and those by evolutionary morphologists Makes some bold insights; synthesizes development and evolution

I purchased this book (dated 1961) due to its alleged ties with the movie "Jaws". Possibly used as a reference for Quint's speech. I found the info on a website called thedailyjaws.com. It pertains to the wrong date (in the movie) of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. There is a picture of the book like the one I purchased here. The wrong date is actually in this book. Page 71. Anyway, great packaging for shipping! Great value! Affordable shipping! Fantastic seller! Highly recommended!

I was honestly scared to see how it was shipped lol Luckily the seller put this vintage manga in cardboard within the thin envelope, but shipping could be better with something so old but in mint condition. Very happy that it was not damaged and can be added to my collection, looks just as pictured & a great find so thank you!
