There is elastic all the way around the edge and extra elastic strips on each corner so it does not slip off. There is elastic material is not stretchy like I thought it would be but it is very soft and is comfortable while sleeping. I would recommend this fitted sheet for anyone looking for deep pocket sheets, these really work great. My shipment time was quick also just as stated when I ordered.
