No smoke smell and packaged with bubble wrap and other material to protect the books during the lightening fast shipping! My only wish is that the seller had the other numbers I still need to complete the series!!! Wouldn't hesitate to do business again with the seller because last, but certainly not least, the seller responded quickly, throughly and honestly to my inquiry about smells.
