Acerca de este producto
Product Information
Nature, money, work, care, food, energy, and lives: these are the seven things that have made our world and will shape its future. In making these things cheap, modern commerce has transformed, governed, and devastated Earth. In A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things, Raj Patel and Jason W. Moore present a new approach to analyzing today's planetary emergencies. Bringing the latest ecological research together with histories of colonialism, indigenous struggles, slave revolts, and other rebellions and uprisings, Patel and Moore demonstrate that throughout history, crises have always prompted fresh strategies to make the world cheap and safe for capitalism. At a time of crisis in all seven cheap things, innovative and systemic thinking is urgently required. This book proposes a radical new way of understanding-and reclaiming-the planet in the turbulent twenty-first century.

- k***- (4)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaquality for all items as described, no major issues with products and all are in good condition, very fast delivery, i can’t find cheaper prices elsewhere & the 3 for 2 deal are great. the only issue is that the deal only applies to one set of 3 books in the basket, so i had to put in 4 seperate orders to get the free book each time (perhaps an issue on my end). the only other issue is one item (out of four) has not been delivered yet and the tracking is unavailable.
- n***l (19)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaBought these on a whim and didn't realise the delivery date was when I was away. I contacted the seller and they said it'd arrive Monday. Today is Sunday and they've turned up already. These are pre loved books, not badly damaged ones. 500 characters isn't enough to express the quality to price ratio. Quite a few big authors too (Dan Brown, Jeffrey Archer, Wilbur Smith). Be careful opening the box as even though it is packaged well, there's nothing protecting the books. Will buy again.
