Amanda is contacted by Wey-Yu Corp android Christopher Samuels for a one of a kind survival horror mission. This video game will leave you scared to go into the shadows. This game is brought to you by Sega and Creative Assembly. Rated M for Mature by the ESRB, Aliens: Isolation is sure to provide you with an exciting gaming experience. Beyond the terror, the designers carefully added details throughout to make the technology of the late 70s and early 80s feel and look as authentic as possible. A survival horror entry, the atmosphere makes you feel completely isolated. Footsteps are echoing through dark corridors and powerless areas, so your sense of isolation will never feel stronger. Every misplaced sound will have you jump out of your seat in fear that the alien is right behind you. With limited available weapons, you are scrounging for components to use in an original real-time crafting system. You have a flashlight and motion-tracker, so you're not entirely helpless in this game. However, keep in mind: This is a deadly game of cat and mouse, with you as the mouse. Be crafty, hack, hide, and hunt your way through this genre-bending game. The gameplay constantly shifts to keep the gamer on their toes. A Survival Mode is also available, adding even more replayability to a game that already lasts around 20 hours. Different scenarios challenge you to earn high scores to get to the top of the leaderboard. As a single-player game, you are Amanda Ripley in a true first-person experience. Check your corners and watch your back in this original video game installment of the Aliens universe. Composed by Joe Henson and Alexis Smith, the soundtrack took inspiration from the movie. You'll feel the atmosphere of the original hit movie. Some of the original cast lends their voices to their characters, including Veronica Cartwright, Ian Holm, and Sigourney Weaver. Fight to stay alive after facing evil personified in this game. Try to uncover the truth behind what happened to Ellen Ripley, your mother. Find out how Weyland-Yutani fits into it all, with its persistent scheme to retrieve one of the monsters for study. Choose to face your fears head-on or use your stealth and cunning to your advantage. One xenomorph stalks you throughout the story, and they cannot be destroyed. Knowing this, the focus in the game is on stealth and timing. The alien reacts to sounds and actions, and it’s not programmed on a set path. This makes for a truly terrifyingly fun experience that’s different every time you play. You can only save in particular locations, so a sense of danger really comes through. As you explore the spaceship Anesidora, you can feel that danger may lurk around every corner. Creative Assembly created their own engine with Alien: Isolation. This gives the game a wholly unique feel, from the lighting to the character motion.
