While it is not an Apple product (apparently Apple no longer makes these external Super Drives) it is a suitable substitute for one. It works fine and I am satisfied with my purchase. I would note that if you use it with an iMAC or iPad, the OS will ask you to identify it the first time you attempt to burn a disc with it. I would recommend this product for someone looking to replace their Apple Super Drive. Thanks!
