-Anna's Prayer is a very simple story, perfect for beginning readers. Most children will listen a few times, then be able to read it on their own. There's a short lesson up front -- be nice to people even when they do things you don't like--which isn't hidden, but the authors don't make a point of it, they let you discover it on your own. The major message--pray and trust God--is clear and obvious. Much more could be said, but the authors are out to say just enough.
