25 years of Mannheim Steamroller, 25 years of pushing boundaries and setting standards. In 1974, writer/composer Chip Davis was enjoying phenomenal success with his smash hit "Convoy." the success of that record helped Chip realize his vision of creating a new kind of instrumental sound. The sound is a unique blend of classical forms and styles with modern rock rhythms and instruments. To mark the silver anniversary, American Gramaphone releaes this great, 2-CD set collection that features one song from every Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller release since 1974, 25 tracks in all. Track highlights include: "The Steamroller, " "Chocolate Coffe, " "Reggae Manana Mon, " "Slo Dancin' in the Living Room, " "Twilight at Rhodes, " "Dancin' in the Stars, " "The Holly & the Ivy, " "Harp Seals, " "Kanbai" and more!!
