Acerca de este producto
Product Information
The Yashica TL Electro is a single-lens reflex (SLR) camera with interchangeable lenses that was made and sold by the Japanese company Yashica from 1972 and is considered a classic by retro camera enthusiasts. It is a rear-loading camera that winds with a film advance lever and uses 35mm film. Although it has an electronic shutter and settings indicator, there is no automation; things like the lighting settings must be studied and set by the photographer. Hence, it is a mechanical manual device that works via electronics. It comes with all the necessary features for a professional or amateur photographer who likes to do things the old way. Some of these ’70s innovations include a mechanical self-timer, a hot shoe that is built in for flash photography, manual settings for shutter speeds and other light settings, and focusing or zooming by hand. These SLRs were the first cameras with a viewfinder that had electronic lights for exposure information (miniature lamps inside rather than the LEDs of today). They were also the first with a mechanical shutter with stepless electronic timing, which operates at any medium speed between two seconds and 1/1000 of a second. This gives accurate light and setting read-outs. The Yashica reflex uses a micro prism mirror focusing spot, ground-glass collar, and DOF preview button. There are two lights in the viewfinder that indicate over and under exposure and point toward the direction in which the aperture ring should be turned. The correct setting is indicated by adjusting either the aperture ring or shutter speed dial. This Yashica TL Electro camera comes as a body only, but as it has a Pentax screw mount, you have plenty of great options for lenses. Some of the brands you can mount include Tamron (for example the 35 to 70mm) and Pentax/Praktica (any standard M42 screw mount). This Yashica retro device has a horizontal cloth (vertical metal on X model) shutter and a metal focal plane with speeds of 1/1000 to 1 second. Its built-in flash is a hot and syncro-x that works at speeds of 1/60 or MF at 1/30. There is also a self-timer for selfies or when you want everyone in a shot, which you set as 8 to 9. These cameras use a ratchet-type, single-stroke wind lever to advance the camera roll within the device (35mm; you can use ISO from 25 to 800), which has a nice, comforting sound and feel for vintage Yashica fans. They are powered with 6 volts from a single PX28A battery. This battery is still readily available in supermarkets and all kinds of photographic stores. It also has a great retro look to them with its silver metal body and texture black grips. It weighs about 34.5 oz. The front element is recessed to protect it from bumps and scratches, and it feels solid and dependable in your hands. This Yashica classic is a solid, compact, and reliable vintage photographic device with a great, old fashioned feel for slow photographers and art photographers or anyone who is just into photos with atmosphere.
