Synopsis
The 'Constitution of Medina' is probably the first legal document of Muhammad and dates back to the first year after his hijra (622 CE), or "emigration", which brought him from his hometown Mecca to the cluster of towns known as Yathrib or Medina in the Hijaz (northern Arabia) and marked the beginning of the Islamic era. Muslim historians and jurists have been familiar with this important document for centuries, and aware of its legal and theological implications for Islamic law. It was first brought to the attention of scholars in the West at the end of the 19th century by Wellhausen, who accepted it as an authentic document from the time of the Prophet. Since then, such leading orientalists as Goldziher, Gil, Serjeant, Goto, U. Rubin and J. B. Simonsen have studied various aspects of it. This monograph offers an edited translation and interpretation of the earliest and most important document from the time of Muhammad. Lecker's focus is on the Jewish tribes, the Treaty of the Mu'minun and the Treaty of the Jews.., The 'Constitution of Medina' is probably the first legal document of Muhammad and dates back to the first year after his hijra (622 CE), or "emigration", which brought him from his hometown Mecca to the cluster of towns known as Yathrib or Medina in the Hijaz (northern Arabia) and marked the beginning of the Islamic era. - y***y (238)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaI recently purchased "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" on eBay, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the experience! The seller was exceptionally responsive and took great care in packaging the book securely. It arrived even sooner than expected and in pristine condition—exactly as described in the listing. Douglas Adams' masterpiece is a witty and whimsical journey through the cosmos, and I'm delighted to have this fantastic edition in my collection. The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (#267107931920)
- n***t (147)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaReally happy I was able to find a copy of this book in great quality and at lower price no less! I will say though that the shipping could've been more consistent, not only taking longer than expected but no communication for like a month from USPS or tracking. For a second there I thought this got lost in the mail! But thankfully the packaging and shipment arrived just in time! Thank you so much for helping me complete my collection!World Of Kong - Natural History Of Skull Island (#267129044909)

Wasn’t as originally described, purchased expecting a first edition, however after great communication a discount was refunded. Happy to deal with again.Die Trying - 1st Edition/1st Printing (#267136793028)
