Other suspenders I've had are usually only about 3/4 of an inch to an inch wide and somewhat on the flimsy side. It's especially unpleasant if one of the clasps comes loose and you get "snapped." Not a problem with these! The bands have a whopping 2 inch width, so definitely able to take punishment. Highly recommended..

It might sound like I did not like them but I do like them, I might even buy another pair.
