As it happens, I'd fixed the old remote by dismantling it and cleaning it with alcohol after water damage. The original is not waterproof despite what it says on the remote. 2nd one that stopped working. I'll keep this as a spare backup. Recommended seller.

The player works like new and is very smooth. I would still recommend this seller to buy from.
