For wireless Internet connectivity at lightning fast speeds, look no further than the Buffalo Technology AirStation WHR-HP-G54 125 Mbps 4-port 10/100 wireless G router. It provides uninterrupted connectivity for numerous devices and can also power up those devices by flicking the built-in external switch. This changes the dynamic from a wireless router to a wireless access point. The Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 high-power router with detachable antenna and built-in DHCP Server has a built in four-port Ethernet switch. This auto-sensing switch operates at a speed of 10/100 Mbps and provides direct connectivity with up to four additional switches or PCs. It also has a WAN port at 10/100 Mbps, which is utilized for broadband Internet connection. High-speed performance and extensive coverage are delivered by the router due to the built-in high-power amplifier and use of MIMO technology. The MIMO technology reduces dead spots and creates a robust signal by using multiple radios. Practically any wireless network that has a data transfer speed of up to 54 Mbps can be integrated with ease. This is because the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 complies with the IEEE 802.11 b/g protocol. The wireless G router has four 10/100M LAN ports and one 10/100M WLAN port. You do not need to worry about your online security being compromised, as the Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G54 router has numerous wireless networking safety features included. These latest security standards include WPA-PSK (AES, TKIP) and 64/128-bit WEP security. WPA and wireless Mac address filtering are also included. Malicious threats and attacks across the Internet are kept at bay by the advanced firewall features. These include Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), Network Address Translation (NAT), DoS prevention, IP filtering, Mac address filtering, intrusion prevention, and content filtering. There is no need to worry about a complicated setup process or having to enter detailed codes with this type of router. The Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 router features the AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS). Provided your computer has a wireless unit or adapter, you can set up a secure wireless network easily without having to perform technical security configurations. The AirStation One-Touch Secure System simply detects other AOSS wireless-enabled devices automatically and then negotiates a secure connection between them. As the Buffalo router and other AOSS-supported device choose the most secure method, you can rest assured that your connection is protected from bandwidth and identity thieves. If you use the wireless access point interface, the home page displays basic settings with a quick and easy Internet setup routine. It also includes port mapping for gaming, wireless encryption, and firewall settings. Diagnostics pages, administration pages, and WAN, LAN, and wireless parameters are found in the advanced settings. The Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G54 is powered by an external AC100-120V 50/60 Hz adapter. This wireless router, designed by Buffalo Technology, is widely supported by open source firmware so that you can upgrade it to DD-WRT or Tomato firmware, for example. If you wish to reset the unit back to factory settings for any reason, a separate reset button is included in the hardware. For increased coverage, the Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G54 supports WDS so that with an optional repeater, you can blanket a large area using cascading routers. When considering wireless routers, the Buffalo Technology AirStation WHR-HP-G54 4-port 10/100 wireless G router ticks all the boxes. It is easy to set up and provides fast connectivity at 125 Mbps.
