Now my original is a bit different on both the total overall height and the interior is also different-no step at bottom. I have not tried "trimming it down" as I no longer hit the g,h,b keys. there were variations of the stick...this is a good one… time/use will tell.

It sticks up slightly higher off the keyboard. That does not bother me. But you may find it comes off when you throw the keyboard in a backpack. Of course, you are getting a 10 pack. So that probably won't be an issue. Keep a spare with you.
