This is a superb quality antique English Victorian upholstered walnut cabriole leg chaise longue, circa 1860 - 1880. The chaise boasts (when facing) a right hand arm, a raised sweeping back with carved cartouches to the centre. The back frame sweeps down finishing in fret work carving. The front of the chaise has a serpentine shape and a half circle open end to the left. The chaise is deep buttoned with rich excellent red wine velvet draylon upholstery which is in excellent condition. The chaise features the original mug castors, original splayed legs to the back and original cabriole legs to the front. The frame and legs are constructed of solid walnut. The chaise can seat up to 3 persons.

In excellent condition - the arms and back of the couch are firm. The chaise has been re-upholstered some time ago in the red wine velvet draylon upholstery you see. There are no marks, tears or rips to the upholstery, it is very clean. The braiding is in excellent condition and is firmly attached to the couch. The springs in the seat are firm and in good condition. There is a very old repair to the back splayed leg (which is firm).The ceramic mug castors are original. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage.
